Recently, at Kagando Hospital and Kitovu Hospital in Uganda, a multinational team of medical volunteers successfully performed surgeries on 124 women suffering from obstetric fistulas and uterine prolapse. The success of these procedures was greatly supported by the high-quality retractors donated by Chamfond.
As an essential surgical tool, retractors play a vital role in ensuring precision and efficiency during operations. Chamfond’s donated retractors demonstrated exceptional performance, helping the team overcome resource limitations and enhancing the safety and success of the surgeries. Volunteer doctors expressed their gratitude, noting how the equipment significantly improved their efficiency and provided better outcomes for patients.
This medical mission was carried out by self-funded volunteers from various countries who also trained local doctors and nurses, helping to advance their skills in treating fistulas and prolapse. These efforts ensure sustainable improvements in the region’s healthcare system.
Chamfond’s donation not only supports the immediate needs of these surgical projects but also reaffirms a commitment to restoring health and dignity for these women. We believe that through sharing medical resources and fostering collaboration, we can bring hope and meaningful change to those in need.
